Susan Reynolds and Connie Reece (or Laverne and Shirley as they referred to themselves after viewing this video) finally got to meet in person this week when Susan and her husband, Bill, flew to Austin for meetings. Frozen Pea Friday #10 marked a milestone: incorporation and trademark papers have been filed. When completed, the Frozen Pea Fund will be a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation.

There will be a lot more to report in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. For now, Susan and Connie want to thank you for supporting those who, like Susan, are battling breast cancer, and for your support of cancer research and awareness through the Frozen Pea Fund.

I am so jealous! I wanted to cuddle up there too. Just wondering if I should be Lenny or Squiggy now. Laverne and Shirley is an apt analogy. Remember that theme song?

one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
    Sclemeel, schlemazel, hasenfeffer incorporated.
    We’re gonna do it!

Give us any chance, we’ll take it.
Give us any rule, we’ll break it.
We’re gonna make our dreams come true.
    Doin’ it our way.

Nothin’s gonna turn us back now,
Straight ahead and on the track now.
We’re gonna make our dreams come true,
    Doin’ it our way.

There is nothing we won’t try,
    Never heard the word impossible.
This time there’s no stopping us.
    We’re gonna do it.

On your mark, get set, and go now,
Got a dream and we just know now,
We’re gonna make our dream come true.
And we’ll do it our way, yes our way.
Make all our dreams come true,
And do it our way, yes our way,
Make all our dreams come true
    For me and you.

Aw, Cathleen. That just made me cry. We wanted so much for you to be here with us – but I hear you’re going to be in DC soon & will get to see Susan. And when we get the legal documents back, we’re planning an ooVoo celebration with you. Champagne all around! :-)

Cathleen’s comment made me tear up, too. Hooray, hooray, hooray!!! I SO want to be curled up with the two of you there, with my laptop, making plans with you. Jealous, jealous, but I am so proud of both of you, and of everyone on Twitter who has made the Frozen Pea Fund happen. This is the best news..I’m so excited, I’m jumping up and down inside! My brain is jumping up and down! Hallelujah!

Big hug to my PEA sistahs,

    Cathryn/CreativeSage

Looking good ladies! Congrats on the wonderful progress.

I was talking to country music artist Eric Reading (one 1/2 of “The Readings”) about the Frozen Pea Fund. They are getting ready to go on tour across the country to raise money for those battling cancer. This is a cause close to their heart as they lost their mother, Bonnie, to Multiple Myeloma, a rare form of blood cancer. Eric was wowed to hear about the wonderful things going on here @ the Frozen Pea Fund.

    Keep up the good work!
